President – Charlotte blixen-finecke
Hej Cambridge Scandis & Scanfans!
I’m Charlotte, your ScanSoc President from Easter 2023 until Easter 2024! I’m originally from the countryside of Denmark but am now in my final year of HSPS at St Edmund’s College. You’re likely to find me pottering about in the College vegetable garden or procrastinating in front of various rom-coms and tv shows. ScanSoc has from the very first event felt like a home away from home for me, always guaranteed to bring a feeling of familiarity and “hygge”. From relaxed welcome drinks, brunches and formal swaps, to jolly “sittnings”, midsummer en blancs and Ambassador’s dinners, ScanSoc and being on the ScanSoc committee has given me some of my very best Cambridge memories. I’m excited for another year of dancing to ABBA, pretending to know the tune to the Scandi sing-along songs and losing chubby bunny contests. But most importantly, I can’t wait to (hopefully) meet lots of new members and see the familiar faces of those I already know in our Scandi-family.
Lots of Scandi-love,
Charlotte

Vice President – Mikkeline lykkesfeldt
Hi all! My name is Mikkeline and I’m your new Vice-President of ScanSoc. I am a Danish Education and Psychology student with an unhealthy addiction to knitting and a love of frozen fruit. I love being a part of ScanSoc both as a member and on the committee as a great way of meeting amazing people, taking a break from a busy study-schedule, and getting a space to learn all the important Scandinavian drinking songs! I’m so excited to see new and old faces at our next event:)
Lots of Scandi-love,
Mikkeline

Treasurer – Anders vase hinge
Hi everyone! My name is Anders, I’m a Danish HSPS’er from Christ’s, and I’ll be this year’s treasurer. While I’ve only been here for a year, ScanSoc has been a good way to get a taste of home while meeting loads of new people at the same time. Over the next year I’m looking forward to even more scandi events, and meeting some amazing new people from all the world!
Lots of Scandi-love,
Anders

Assistant Treasurer & events officer – benjamin hilton
Hey everyone! My name is Benjamin and I am the Assistant-treasurer/events officer. I’m a Danish mathmo at Christ’s. As this was my first year at Cambridge it was also my first year in Scansoc, but I have already made a lot of great memories there and encourage everyone to come along and do the same! It’s a great way to meet new people and learn new things about the other scandi-cultures!
Lots of Scandi-love,
Benjamin

communications Officer – stine bentzen
Heisann! My name is Stine, I'm now a second-year LandEc and I am the communications officer of ScanSoc. Now you have a face to the email that inevitably ends up in your spam- filter. ScanSoc is a brilliant way to keep in touch with people who know the difference between the Scandinavian countries and languages and that the vikings are no longer hugely impactful for our everyday lives. Oh, and they are great fun to be around as well. As a funfact I always make an effort to place the Norwegian flag first in our signoff.
Lots of Scandi-Love
Stine

pr & events Officer – ieva petruskevicius
Hej everyone! I’m Ieva and I’m the new PR and events officer! I’m originally from Denmark and study law in my second year at Christ's. When in need for a break from memorising statutes, ScanSoc has been the perfect place for some hygge, reminiscing about rugbrød, and proper sittnings. I’m happy to have the Norwegian flag as the first in our signoff, as long as the Swedish one is last😘
Lots of scandi-love,
Ieva

photography Officer – jakob salovius
Moi people, I’m Jakob! In this sea of Scandinavians I am trying to bring some Finnish representation into the committee! I’m a second year PhD student at Girton, and will be in charge of photography at ScanSoc’s events this coming year. I think I have the best job of all, because I just have to turn up at the events (which are always very chill and fun), chat to people, and snap some pics in between. You will realise that despite some stereotypes about my country, I actually very much enjoy being around people, and I’m looking forward to seeing all the new (and old) faces at ScanSoc this year!
Lots of Scandi-love,
Jakob

Lots of Scandi-love,
Amanda

Dineshtga, Amanda and I will be the events officers this year, making sure we stay true to being the most fun society in Cambridge! I am looking forward to meeting you all over a waffle, a cup of gløgg, or some aquavit at our events this semester
Lots of Scandi-love,

Events Officer – Dineshtga Frandsen
Hej. I'm Dineshtga and I'm a law student. Although I'm originally from Denmark, I've lived in London since I was a kid, so my accent has sadly faded. I hope I do my role as events officer justice by putting together fun and social events. I am looking forward to getting to know you at the events and connecting with the Scandi culture more. In my free time, I enjoy stitching and dancing. Feel free to reach out to me if you need recommendations on what to see and do in London
Lots of Scandi-love,
Dineshtga
